Farewell to Helping Me Grow — FMS287

These weeks are flying by!  I know December gets billed as the busiest month of the year, but I really think it’s May.  Especially as a parent.  There are so many end-of-the-school-year activities, and even more so when you have a Senior.  Fortunately it’s all good stuff, and with memories to treasure.

Since it is Wednesday, that means it’s time for another sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  And this week our hostess is our favorite pilot and clean stamper extraordinaire, Jennifer Timko.  She has a great one for us too:

I’m still trying to use as many of my favorite retiring stamp sets as possible.  I thought the Helping Me Grow set would work well with this sketch, so I pulled it out.  I also used my favorite retiring In-Color, Watermelon Wonder.

I started by stamping the floral image with Basic Black Archival Ink and coloring it with a blender pen and ink pads.  I then applied some washi tape into a rectangle as a mask, and colored in some Soft Sky ink, removing the tape when finished.

The sentiment was embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black card stock.  I added some splatters and called it a day.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch.  We love to see what you create as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh my goodness, it has been TOO long since I’ve visited. I think I went back and pinned every card you made for the last month. You’ve been busy as a parent and a card maker, too! I am loving your style and your recent cards are all spot on perfect. Thanks for all the inspiration!

  2. This card is just gorgeous Amy! I love how you’ve created the flowers and your rectangle! Those flowers are so beautiful! Your colouring is fabulous – as always! Just love it! I agree that May is a super busy month – especially since in our family there seem to be a lot of June birthdays and events to prepare for!
